Workshop Scheduled: Yoga for Type A People
According to psychologists, those of us with Type A Behavior Pattern respond to stress with competitiveness, self-criticism, time urgency, and hostility.
Yep, me too.
For many of us, this Type A style has worked and actually been rewarded in so many areas of lives: we get things done & done right the first time, we pursue excellence, we can be counted on, and we're rarely late.
But, if you're like me, you also notice that this aspect of who you are doesn't always serve you well. Our Type A nature can hold us back from showing up as the compassionate, nurturing, and nourished people we truly are when we're at are best.
Yoga teaches us to notice the difference.
Through mindful breathing, movement, and meditation, yoga helps high impact (and often high-stung!) Type A people enhance all that makes us effective, while letting go of that which doesn't serve us at work, at home, and on the inside.
Through the Yoga For Type A People workshop, you will:
Learn more about the 8 limbs of yoga and specifically, explore the five yamas or self-regulating behaviors that yogic philosophy invites us to practice
Practice those behaviors through a 90-minute, all-levels yoga and meditation class
Reflect on how you might integrate the yamas with Type A life off the mat
Especially helpful for those who self-identify as Type A , this workshop is appropriate for anyone - executives, parents, students - seeking tools for navigating intensity in their lives.
